Today morning, proceed for Munnar Local sightseeing. Proceed to Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai) for a glimpse of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr amidst the lush green hills. Post lunch, visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Munnar Tea Gardens, Tea Museum (closed Mondays), and a tea factory. Optionally, enjoy an elephant ride (at your expense), wander through Rose Garden, Pothamedu View Point, Hydel Park, and photo shooting spots. Wrap up with tea powder shopping. Check out from the hotel in the morning and proceed towards Thekkady. The day now treats you to a Jeep safari (at your own cost) in 588, a famous wildlife sanctuary home to herds of elephants, Sambhar, Tigers, Gaur, lion-tailed macaques, Nilgiri, Langurs and more. After the enthralling safari, you can enjoy boating (own cost) in Periyar Lake to watch wild animals up close. Returning from the boat ride, you can visit spice plantations and do some local shopping. Also, see Kathakali Show & Kalarippayattu Show (if time permits, at your own cost). As the day concludes, savor a delightful dinner on the houseboat before retiring for the night amidst the gentle lull of the waters.
